Vehicles in German City Found Covered with Swastikas in Blood, Law Enforcement State

Police mentioned they were contacted by a individual who discovered a car in Hanau covered with red-colored substance

Around 50 automobiles have been marked with what appears to be human blood in the Germany's town of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to police.

Vehicles, exterior walls and postboxes were marked, in some cases with swastikas, they reported in a statement.

Officers report they were notified during the night on Wednesday evening, when a man noticed that a car in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored fluid.

The fluid had been applied in the shape of a banned symbol, they reported.

Officers then located many other vandalized automobiles and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under laws banning the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.

Law enforcement say preliminary tests show the fluid was likely human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no clue as to its origin; authorities are currently not aware of any physical harm in relation with the incident," they added.

Municipal representatives announced they were attempting "to solve the incident" and have appealed to the community for information.

A high-ranking political figure commented the incident rendered him stunned and had to be solved quickly.

"This event hits the center of Hanau and reawakens the trauma of the extremist violent incident half a decade ago," he stated on a platform, referring to the death of nine victims by a gunman aiming at individuals of immigrant origin in five years prior.
