I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
